Using persistent linked clones,
When a user has her icons arranged on her desktop just the way she likes them, and I do a refresh overnight, in the morning her icons are arranged in a single row.
At first, this seems like a "well duh" question, but I am pretty sure that desktop icon placement is something that is stored in the UDD?
I tested this on another linked clone, with same results. I tried moving icons and just disconnecting before the refresh, as well as logging off before refresh. I get the same results.
There are some free utilities and registry additions that give a "save icon layout" in your right-click menu, but I'd like to not go that route if possible.
