console and RDP display issues after assigning more video memory to vm

This is really weird. I created a vm and, originally, had the video memory setting at "auto." All was well, until I assigned it 128mb because we were going to be using PCOIP. After this, when I login to the vm, the right click menu appears fragmented (desktop, icon, etc). I can only see parts of it. Anyone ever heard of this?

Environment: vsphere (latest version)

VM: vmware tools installed, HW ver.7, XP Pro SP3 (all windows updates applied)

I too was having video problems with video memory set at 64mb or above. What I did was, in the video card settings on the parent VM, I set the reserve memory to the maximum resolution setting with the maximum color depth of 32. I also set the max number of displays to whatever I intend to use within View, in this case 2. this will auto set the required memory for this config. Also make sure that the View Agent is the last thing installed on the parent VM, many people have installed the VMWare Tools over the top of the Agent which will alter the video drivers.Take your snap and give it a go...
