changing View Composer Database (sql to oracle)

Hello,

now we have an SQL database for our View Composer, but we want to use the view composer with an tablespace under our excisting database.

How can we change the view composer to use another database?

I'm not sure if anyone has done this before but it will depend on if you plan on migrating the data itself. If all you want to do is have View Composer use the new database then all you have to do is create a new DSN pointing to the Oracle database and uninstall/install Composer against that DSN.

If you want to migrate the data then I'm not sure how that would be achieved. I know that this type of operation has been performed for other products at other points in time but it usually involves a database vendor supplied tool (NOT a VMware tool...) and a lot of pain and frustration. And I'm not sure that we could support that kind of configuration either...
