cannot remove orphaned VM's

I'm having trouble removing orphaned VM's from a View desktop pool after I migrated from our DEV server to the Production server. I've tried SViconfig to unprotect the VM's but this didn't work. I'm guessing because the VM files don't actually exist. They were left on the old server. I really just need a way to remove these entities from vCenter. Here's a picture pof the VM names. Any help would be appreciated.

TIA

Tony

I would think SVIConfig should still work.

Try stopping the composer service and running SVIconfig or stop the service and try removing the VM's.

You may have to do some delicate surgery in the composer or adam database at which point I would advise that you contact support for help first.

cat /etc/cmware/hostd/vminventory.xml and delete four lines from " " where vm name exists .Restart vmware-vpxa and mgmt-vmware from ESx host and restart VPXD service from virtual center

I just checked and these entries don't exist in the vmInventory.xml file.

I tried using SVIconfig but since the actual VM's were left on the old datastore there is nothing to unprotect.
