allowing different apps by location, not user

Hi,

I work in a school system, different classrooms get different software.

Here is an example, we do not have a site license for MS office.

We do however have several labs that purchase office to train students with.

How can I set up view so that only the clients in those labs get to use office?

It can't be by user group because the user could get a MS office desktop wherever they log in.

You should check Appsense Application Manager: http://www.appsense.com

Hello!

You may also want to look into using Leostream as the Connection Broker component in your deployment. Leostream does not directly manage applications in Terminal Services. However, if you create a pool of desktops that contain Microsoft Office, you can build a Connection Broker policy that pulls desktops from that pool. You can then configure Leostream to assign that policy (and, hence, pool and desktops) to users based on their client location.

Client locations can be defined in a number of ways, including by device type or name, IP or MAC address, operating system, etc. Look at the "Managing Clients and Locations" chapter in the Leostream Connection Broker administrator's guide, if you want to learn more.

Good luck,

Karen
