Windows 8 Local Mode with View 5.1 - missing network driver

I am looking for ways to get Windows 8 to work with View 5.1 local mode (offline mode).

While I am able to check out the virtual desktop, start it up locally and login using a local account, there are no drivers installed for the network interface.

As a result, I am unable to login to the desktop using my domain credentials, also I can't get any network connectivity.

Does anyone know if there is a way to make this work?  It does not have to be a supported solution... just looking for demo capability at this stage.

Did you try with the Intel e1000e nic instead of vmx3?

The VM is setup to use the E1000 NIC already.

I could try the VMX3 to see if that makes any difference, but given I am running this image in local mode (offline), I would expect it's the drivers for the View Client that I am missing, not the ones for the VM on the ESX host.

Surprisingly enough, it works with the VMX3 NIC.

Thanks for the tip!
