Windows 8.1 Visual Effects Management

I have been trying to get the visual effects settings to work in Windows 8.1. I have read several documents on how to do it for Windows 7,  and I have tried those, but the changes did not take work. Has anyone else had this problem or been able to apply visual effects settings via Group Policy?

I am still trying to figure this out for linked clones. Group Policy doesn't seem to work. I am going to try setting it on the baseline instead.

I'm having an issue with windows 8.1 and getting "ghost" windows.

User will close a window and it will still show up on the screen.

You can remove the "ghost" window by holding the mouse down and dragging boxes as to highlight something across the screen.

Has anyone else had an issue with this?

It's related to visual effects sort of.  LOL
