Win10 LTSB 2016, Ent 1703 or Ent 1709?

We are in our testing phase to roll out Windows 10 via Horizon View 7.4 Instant Clones, ProfileUnity (not my choice) and NO AppVolumes (again not my choice).  We are testing with all three flavors mentioned in the title.  We like the simplicity of LTSB but dislike the Start Menu challenges and the conflicting information found on the interwebs about support as it relates to compatibility with future software products (such as Office 2016 patches).

I would have loved to created a poll for this question but I do not have the appropriate rights to create one in the Horizon forum.  Anyways, the multiple part question is....

Who is using what flavor of Windows 10, why and the challenges faced using it?

Any input on this would be greatly appreciated!!!!

There are some 1709 experiences discussed here.  I'm running LTSB for testing and it performs well. Haven't tested with linked clones or anything else. I can't find anywhere where anyone really discusses using it, and you can no longer do an in-place upgrade from 7/8...we are still considering it. However I think 1703 is going to be where we end up. We can just use GPO to strip out some of the junk; it can be upgraded to and has more all-around support from vendors, Microsoft, etc.

We are using LTSB 1607 for all of our Windows 10 installations (mostly VDI VMs, but also some workstations and laptops) and I couldn't be happier that Microsoft at least built a version of Windows 10 that is useable for business needs. I don't care for new features every few months (leading to more questions from our users), I don't want all that bloatware that is part of the other editions and I surely don't need to work on our GPOs all over again after every update.

Also I can tell you that I found no problems in using LTSB 1607 with the latest Office versions (using the semi-annual channel) or any other software.
