I am trying to get USB redirection to work on a Wyse V10LE thin client from an external (outside the firewall) connection. My connection server (no security server in place) is configured to use port 443 for outside connections. The Wyse TCX on the V10LE seems to want to use port 17185 and the connection server is not passing that port to the virtual desktop, and therefore no USB devices.
We get an error "Remote PC dosent have USB redirection capabilities" from the virtual desktop.
-Any ideas
Have you enabled "Direct Connection to Desktop" under your Connection Server settings? This is required for it to work. More info via the View and WTOS Best Practices Guide.
Hopefully that fixes the issue for you.
Yes, remote connections are enabled. Problem is that printers redirect to a custom port while USB storage devices show up as a network drive. We need to use a USB Scanner, so it needs to connect as a USB rather than redirect the port.
