Vmware View P2V Desktop

So my manager would like P2V some of the desktops for our VIEW migration, while it doesnt seem like something I think is a good idea does anyone have any recommendations about doing this? We tried his machine and in order to actually get it working through View and PCoiP we needed to uninstall all the video drivers and reinstall the VMware Video Adaptor.

Has anyone done this on a wide scale deployment?

i have a few P2V virtual desktops, they work OK, the best is to make a new desktop from scratch, so you don't have any unneeded drivers.

one of the things you need to watch out for is if the windows XP you are P2Ving is OEM, you will have to reinstall windows XP over top of it with a VLK if it is.
