Vmware View 5 on vSphere ESX 4.1 infrastructure

Hi all,

Does Vmware View 5 backward compatible with vSphere 4.1 infrastructure or I need to upgrade it to ESXi 5.0 first?

I'm planning to upgrade from View 4.6 to 5.0 and planning on upgrading to ESXi 5.0 infrastructure on a later date.

Do I need Virtual Center 5.0 to handle View 5?

If it's backward compatible then it should be a pretty straight forward on the installation, I'm assuming?

Upgrade the View Composer, View Connection Server, and View Agent?

Does View Composer and Connection Server 4.6 compatible with View Agent 5.0?

I'm thinking of upgrading the Master Image with View Agent 5.0 and push it out.

After that, I'll upgrade the Connection Server and Composer to 5.0.

Or I should upgrade Connection Server and Composer to 5.0 first and then the View Agent?

What do you think?

Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks,

CP
