Vmware Horizon Client with Audio Issues

Hi All,

First time doing this, we operate a call center in Houston. Operations uses VMware Horizon Client version 4.7.0 build-7395453 and at the same time they use a SIP software (called X-lite) that connects to an online dialer for them to make actual calls. So the way this works, they have to have a valid audio connection between the dialer system and Xlite in order to make calls. Recently, they started using VMware and they have been having problems with the audio where randomly they will lose the audio between them and the customers on the phone. Troubleshooting steps are removing the usb headset and plugging it back in or restarting Xlite. My question is that is it possible that VMware is blocking audio on the windows machine? Also, Is there a way to disable VMware from emulating a windows sound device on the PC?

Thanks everyone

This may not solve your issue but I'd look into whether your SIP software and clients support Real-Time Audio-Video (RTAV). This eliminates the media hairpining that could be causing your issues and will improve the user experience.
