Virtual Desktops - Windows 2000 Pro\NT4.0

Hi,

We are currently running many flavours of desktop OS's ranging from OS/2 to NT4 to 2000 Pro to Win XP..what we are trying to do is to move all these desktops into our datacentre and give the end user a nice gui for them to select the required desktop from. I have reviewed the following desktop virtualisation products and none of them fit our requirement:-

1. VMware View 4 - Unable to use due to not being able to redirect NT4.0 Workstation desktops

2. Leostream - Works for all of our flavours of Desktops, all protocols supported, unfortunatly we still have OS/2 desktops and because the protocol is VNC the performance to the end user is poor and not acceptable

3. Xendesktop - again similar restraints to that of VMware View

But what i have found is that using the VMRC tool (found with VMware server) the performance across all of our desktops is perfect - the only issue we have now is building a nice VDI broker around the VMRC tool where we can deploy templates run audit reports for active users etc etc

Currently we use the VMRC tool to target the Host directly which obviously takes all the nice resilient features of ESX away

Does anyone have any other options for VDI that will use the VMRC protocol?

many thanks in advance
