Virtual Desktop CheckOut depending on SAN file system?

Dear all,

as we're intending to support offline usage of virtual desktops for our users I came upon an issue regarding the file system used on our storage system. From my knowledge only LUNs support checking out virtual desktops whereas file systems based on NFS don't.

Is that correct? What other options do I have?

Hi Alex,

Are you using View 4.0 or View 4.5?

The new local mode in View 4.5 does now support VMs that are stored on NFS.
