View traffic

Hi,

I am trying to find a detailed description of the communication traffic (protocols, ports) that happens between the View Client, Load Balancer, Connection server and the View Agent. Starting from the initial log in to the final RDP connection. I have not been able to find something that goes over this in detail.

Can someone help pls?

But I don't see information reg. the traffic \ protocols b/w the client, load balncer etc. May be I missed the slide.

have you looked at the admin guide? I think around page 34....

Page 34 only talks about the required ports for the firewall. I am looking for:

1. When the View Client sends in the initial login request - what protocol is that.

2. What does the broker do with that request and how does it respond.

3. What does the client do with the response.

4. How does it initiate the RDP session with the VM through the broker.

5. What happens when a load balancer sits in between the client and the broker.

May be I am asking too much detail ?:| But this is the exact information our Network\Load Balancing team is asking me for and I can't find an exact answer. The only way left is that I do it myself. But you would think that VMware might have already documented it somewhere.
