View disk locations qn.

Guys,

what do you think about storing following disks as follows? Any design inputs/ suggestions?

-          Master replica – SATA disks

-          replica virtual machines and Linked Clones stored – SSD/FC

-          Persistent disk and disposable disks are stored – SATA disk

I think that is a fairly common scenerio for tiering, provided that by Master replica you mean parent image.    I also think that the disposible disk location can't be adjusted and it will be stored with the clone.

Thank you. Yes, I was referrin to parent image as master replica.

Yes you are correct, disposable disk can't be adjusted. It will be stored with the Linked clone/OS disk
