View USB redirection and Bitlocker

Hello all,

I've heard about this new interesting feature in Windows 7 - Bitlocker 2Go for USB keys. Also I heard that this feature works on physical machines only. And i'm wondering why can't I use it with View VM and their USB redirection?

Hi Anton,

Windows 7 is not yet supported with VMware View. I've heard from people using Sanctuary Device Control with View, but I've never verified that.

Yeah, I know. There is nothing to support, Windows 7 is not released yet.

we use sanctuary, and we have follow problems...

- if we use the version 4.1, 4.3 (i also testet) then you get an compose error with userdata redirection !

- we only can use it without composing, or with individual clients / or we use composing without the sanctuary client and then use a software dist. installation by the first login.

We're planning to use Sanctuary within our VDI desktops although haven't tested it yet. Do you only get the problem when using User Data Disks? Because I was not planning to use them....

chris, i only get the error if i use "redirect user data", without any separate disk, no problem occurs...
