View Security Firewall

Hello-

I am installing a View 4.6 security server in our DMZ.  I am getting ready to ask our network team to setup some firewall rules and have a question on the configuration document I am referencing.  It states that in order for PCoIP to work between the security server and the virtual desktop I need to open:

  1. TCP and UDP destination port 4172 from the security server to virtual desktop.

My question is?  What do they mean by virtual desktop?  Are they talking about my internally configured Connection broker's IP address?  I know my Network team will want to know what server they need to open the ports to???Please advise.

Thanks

It actually means the virual machine that are running WinXP/Vista/7.

Have a look in the documentation here: https://www.vmware.com/support/pubs/view_pubs.html

Thank you for the quick reply.  So, if I have vlan x that I am going to use for my view clients then the network team will need to open 4172 for the entire scope?
