View Manager 3.1 released - COOL! No vSphere support (for composer/offline) - not so cool.

When I saw the notice that 3.1 was out I literally jumped in my chair - finally I can resume testing View on my home setup (which has been running ESX 4.0 since beta). And when I saw that MMR is supported in Vista I grinned even broader.

Then I get a bit further down in the release notes and see that it still requires VI 3 for composer and offline desktops... DISAPPOINTED..

What gives? Smiley Happy

The changes to vCenter to enable linked clones have proven to be a considerable challange to the developers. I do however expect the update shortly now that Lab Manager 4 is out and fully supported on vSphere. both LAb Manager and View utilise Linked Clones in there provisioning engines.
