View Local mode not working

When trying to check out the VM, I get an error:

The desktop cannot be checked out. The client does not support the virtual machines hardware version.

I am on win 7 64bit... the vms are 64bit..

any ideas?

Are you using View 5 client with local mode?    What is the HW version of the VM  you are trying to download?

Yes, I have the client installed with the local mode option. The vm hardware version is 8.

Unfortunatly harware version 8 is currently not supported with Local Mode, you need to have pool with machines that are on hardware version 7.
