View Events will not display in HTML but does in FLEX console

We are running View 7.12 and when we click on Events it says "Event DB can not be connect"  The configuration works with no error.  The System health shows tons of alerts.  The dashboard shows no errors with the Event DB.  I log in using the Flex console and I see all the events no problem.  I had centralized SQL server that is on a different domain then the Connection servers.   I was told to install a cert on the SQL server and then import it on the Connection server and I have done this but still not working.  Anyone ever see this?

I did and they told me to add a Cert to the SQL server and then add it to the connection server.  I asked for KB to describe the process for the certs but was told there is no KB and this was something to try.  What I dont want is the please upgrade answer.
