View Desktop Pool Win 7 Desktop VMs domain login slow after Microsoft Securty Essentials Install

Hi, We have a VMware View 5 environment with Windows 7 desktop pools built(almost 30 VMs). The VMs login time is fine before I do the recompose for Microsoft Security Essentials - almost 40 sec, max 01 min.

But after I install Microsoft Security Essentials on the Golden Base & recompose the linked clone desktops, the login time is degraded on the desktop pools as it takes almost 03-04 mins for just the domain user login. I've tried this a couple of times & still it's the same result. Each Desktop VMs have 02 GB memory assigned & we have adequate RAM on the hosts as well.

Any ideas? This is just a temporary & interim solution untill we get the McAfee MOVE solution in place as AV solution is important for the Desktops as they're not destroyed on log off & still exist.

Awaiting any helpful suggestions or idea. Thanks in advance for the help.

Welcome to the forums.  Are you by chance using Persona?    There is a KB that describes a slowdown when scanning persona files.

Yes we have persona management in place. Thanks for pointing in the right direction. I've moved ahead with implementing McAfee MOVE Agentless Deployment as the way to go w.r.t VDI Antivirus solution.
