View Connection Manager 4.5 and Federated Active Directory

Hi,

We are considering Federating two AD forests (two different companies) and providing the users in the other Forest access to our Virtual Desktop infra.

My question is, does View Connection manager server 4.5 support Federated accounts from a different AD Forest?

My guess is no due to ADAM not knowing about the Federation. But I'd like some confirmation from the community.

If there is a 2 way transitive trust between the domains in the forest then, View will support the accounts from the other forests.

Hi,

As skg said, you need a two-ways trust between the domains, so the View Connection Server can be installed on a Domain, and the Virtual Desktops and/or users can be on a different Domain. 

This is fully supported by VMware and is detailed on View Documentation (Intallation Guide).
