View Composer agent initialization state error (18): Failed to join the domain (waited nnn seconds)

I have horizon 7.4 using windows 8.1 as a desktop when I recompose the pool I get the below error View Composer agent initialization state error (18): Failed to join the domain (waited xxx seconds) I checked on KB I found this one https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/1028164

but it is not feasible to make it in our env since we don't have permission from the security team, do you have another workaround for this issue?

Do you actaully have 2008 domain contoller, if not it may not be related. Can you look at the %system_drive%\Windows\Temp\vmware\vmware-viewcomposer-ga-new.log. log it mentions while its trying to customize and let us know what the message is. I've see something similar where if we didn't do an ipconfig /release before sealing the master image snapshot this happened. =

Is this a new deployment of Horizon 7.4? You need to make sure that the service account you are using to add/remove computer objects has the necessary permissions.
