View Composer Spaning Multiple Separated Domains

Can I deploy VIEW vCenter composer in multiple domains with segmented domain controllers for multi tenant?

Each tentant has their own domain infrastructer.  I don't want to create 2 way transitive trust between domains.

The problem is I don't know how to deploy vDesktops to multi users according to their domain membership and keeping

them completely seprarated other than VLAN with Connection Broker for each domain.

You can add multiple domain accounts in composer which does not have transitive trusts. And pool deployment also will be successfull.

But how will you entitle the pool to the user ? View Connection Server 1 will lists users from the domain which is part of.  The second Domain will ne not listed as there is no trust, and you cannot entitle for those users.

Possible options are:

  1. Configure trusts
  2. Use Location based entitlements
  3. Use separate VDIs across domains

Hi Sir,

Can we add one more domain to VM View for autherntication and provide Seperate VDI for different domain .

Currently they are using Local domain for autherntication and VDI Compasing for old domain user.

My Question is Can we add our global domain to existing VM View manager and migrate OLD VDI to New Domain Users without any data loss.

What are the requirement and what are the steps need to follow.

Hey SKG,

I thought the solution for dealing with multiple domains was to install a VCS in each domain... ahh, I can't remember right now.  I know it had something to do with installing a server in the domain itself other wise View didn't have a clue (as you state).

Can you clarify if you know becuase I need to clarify this myself.  If I get it down I'm blogging this, it comes up too often not to be blogged.

The possible solution is that which i mentioned in thread : VM View to Join Windows Domain for Authentication

Trying this out should be safe. Still if you do not feel safe in trying out in production, then create one new vdi and perform a dry run.
