Wrong user account

Not sufficient permissions

"Cause

This issue occurs if the user account that is used to install View Composer is not the same as the account used to install vCenter Server and the user account does not have sufficient permissions to modify the MachineKeys directory."

Make sure you are using "the same" domain/service user account. Add your View Composer domain/service Account to the local Administrators group. If possible, try to reinstall all components from scratch as Domain Admin only in a separate lab, if that works then you already know you have a user account issue.

Hi Raul -

Thanks for your reply.  The account being used is the same account as install.  Furthermore, it is the same account as the service is running as.   Last but not least, we lined it up with the account the ODBC uses to get to the DB and they all match.   That is what has us stumped.

If you are sure that the user account is OK! Then take a look at the SQL components. What version of SQL are you using & what features did you install? SQL with all features enabled will interrupt the View Composer installation, you just want to use SQL to create tables only & not to use it as a SQL server, so check your SQL settings because it might be using some components needed by View Composer to complete the installation.
