View Client pass through authentication? Shell replacment?

I have a test area set up of five thin clients T5730. Currently, users have to log into the thin client, then log into wswc.exe (VMWare View Client). This is cumbersome...

1. Does anyone know of a way to pass through credentials so the vmware view client automatically authenticates with the credentials the user has already submitted via msgina?

2. Are there any folks out there that has done a complete shell replacement from explorer.exe to wswc.exe? If so, how is that working for you?

Thanks ahead of time!

for the shell, you could use something like thinlaunch: http://www.thinlaunch.com/

see a demo here: http://www.thinlaunch.com/flashdemo.shtml

We have several labs running old PC's which we have converted into thinclients. We wrote a small application which keeps the wswc.exe running no mater what the user does. This application is then setup as shell so it's the only application running on these Windows 2000 boxes. We also have a few regestry entries made to keep students from using ctl-alt-del and other such keys to break the application. One of the other things which help us is within the wswc.exe program we pass in the name of the desktop pool the thinclient should use so students just logon to View and it pass in the AD info for logon to desk pool machine. End result it works GREAT!!!!
