Hi Guys
Please help. In the last 2 week I have a problem with my View agent reporting it's still starting up from the Console view. However when I MMC onto the problem desktop the view agent is started. This happen during the day and we need to restart the view agent.
Current Configure:
vCenter Server
4 vCPU
8 GB RAM
Windows 2008 R2
Composer Server version VMware-viewcomposer-3.0.0-691993
2 vCPU
10 GB RAM
Windows 2008 R2
Connection Server version VMware-viewconnectionserver-x86_64-5.1.1-799444
2 vCPU
10 GB RAM
Windows 2008 R2
Virtual Desktop (Total 150)
2 vCPU
3 GB RAM
Windows 7
How long does it have that status? If its more then 10min then there is something wrong.
Reinstall VMware Tools and View Agent of the parent virtual machine:
Ensure that, you have the supported version of View Agent and View Client that matches to your View Connection Server version.
Let me know if this helps.
It take 30 minutes to an hour
It try the uninstall and reinstall early today for the Training Department which did not work. I also tried upgrade the VMware-viewagent-5.1.3-1007228.
Does it stay on the status "Starting" OR does it start after an hour?
I reviewed the CSV file and it seems other desktops in the same pool are showing status as "Available". Did you try to reset the problem desktops with the status "Startup"? OR you may remove the problem desktop from Desktops inventory and let Composer recreate a new desktop and see if this helps.
I restarted the 2 problem desktop's and the status is still "Startup"
Manually deleting these stale desktops and re-provisioning them using composer is worth a try:
I'll have to try this on the Weekend.
Exactly the same problem here.
Some machines are still in startup..
It was working all normally earlier but in one day its stopped
I cannot find any relationships why its so... No modifications was made to the system...
Only helps - is to restart Vmware View Connection Server service in services...
Tried to recompose (with advices mentioned earlier) no success.
Both Agent and Connection Server is 5.2
BTW - if let the machine in STARTUP and do not restart the service - it became available after several hours. (i think this is to much)
Looked also at the logs.. Nothing..
