View 5 Connection Broker

Trying to find the best way to power off an entire desktop pool I have running in View.  Computers are used for training and I need to temporarily power them off.  Don't want to do it within vCenter.  Please advise proper method I should use to shut them all off.  Can't find anything within the Broker GUI.

Regards,

Erik

You can switch the power policy to shutdown all desktops or maybe use powershell to shut down all the desktops.

How about this E:

1) Set your pool power policy to powered off.

2) Run SHUTDOWN /i and then pick the computers you wish to power off from this window.

Worked well for me in the past. Hope this is useful.

From your View Administrator console navigate to that particular pool and click o edit settings.

In the pool settings select the Remote desktop power policy and make it as Power Off.

For an immediate result, post to this change just refresh your pool once.

Thank you for the suggestion.  One question.  Where are you running the Shutdown /i command from?  Is it the view cli?

Run this command from any computer that has admin rights to the VMs in your pool and you shoud be good.
