View 5.1 client crash

Hello,

This week I upgraded all of our components for View from 5.0 to 5.1 and everything went great as far as the installs, but now when testing connectivity I'm running into the View client crashing. Here is a breakdown of what was changed:

Upgraded view connection server

Upgraded view composer

Updated the view agent on our template desktop

Installed the new 5.1 client on our client

When I launch the view client I get connected to my pool and the desktop connects but before I see the desktop the client crashes and closes with the error "The connection to the remote computer ended."

Thie is the process for the View Client service, not the View Client application. The View Client application log is under the current user's folder, not All Users. The current user's folder's VMware VDM logs directory should also have a crash dump. Is there one?

If you are able to consistently reproduce this behavior, then it may be worth having someone from VMware Technical Support investigate into the issue. If you have a support contract for VMware View, then I would suggest opening a support request.
