We are working on VDI pilot and only have one issue with the pilot. When we have a user log in, the initial time they are prompted to set up Outlook (the settings are auto populated) and then they are not prompted again on any other log ins. However, when we Recompose that image (to install Security Patches or application updates), the users are prompted again to set up Outlook. Is there any way around this? We do have Persistant disk set up and using the VIEW GPO, but I just can’t seem to get it to work? Has anyone had any successes? This is on both an XP and Win7 image.

Can you verify if the user's profile is being created on the seperate persistent disk or on the C:\ drive? The persistent disk doesn't get touched during the recompose so if the profile was there it shouldn't force you to re setup.
The View GPO isn't really needed for personalization if your using persistent disk. If you weren't using persistent disk you could utilize View persona which is enabled through the GPO and simply stores the profile on a shared drive off the network.
