View 4.0.1 PCoIP No Display Settings Tab

Ok, so I have seen the post on this in the forum but I did not find a resolution to this. I have no problems accessing multiple monitors (had to shut off the vm and powering back on). But for some reason I do not have the display properties tab when I try to go and change the resolution, or where the monitors should be.

I saw that registry edit but wasn't sure what I should change that key to??

I would think that I would not need a registry edit to do this. This has happened on 2 different installs I have done so I am not sure if others are experiencing this or I am selecting something I shouldn't be. It doesn't seem to be a GPO issue either as it has been at 2 different locations.

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

Ericgc,

If you're referring to the software View Client, the virtualized desktop

picks up the display properties from the client machine running the

software View Client. You can adjust the display properties of the

client machine itself and these will be picked up.

For a zero client, the virtualized desktop defaults to the native

display resolution but can be changed using the display properties tab

as for a standard desktop

Also ensure the highest monitor resolution you're after is configured in

the View Administrator interface

Is there any documentation on this? I never read this anywhere??

So if you have multiple monitors and want to change which monitor is 1st, 2nd, etc. You have to do it on the client machine? What if you don't want it like that on your client machine but you do for your VDM?

I thought other people have gotten the Settings tab with PCoIP?

Anyone else have any comments on this. So is this standard? all PCoIP connections will not show the settings tab, and you will need to change the display settings on the client machine?? Certainly others are using PCoIP and can comment?

Hi Ericgc,

Check out this thread regarding register setting that will give access

to the display properties tab:

Do you know what I set that registry setting too? It doesn't say?

The current setting is set to "1"

This is a standard GPO / Reg setting.

1 - enables it ( Disabling the Display settings tab )

0 - disables it ( Enabling the Dsiplay tab )

I do notice that that registry change does not save after you disconnect and log off. Does it have to be done every time you want that Settings tab?

Thanks.

Correct, each time you logoff we set it back. If you want to override the default behavior use the the following GPO setting

From the vdm_agent.adm, see the "ToggleDisplaySettingsControl" GPO

I've set the GPO to enabled and disabled and I still can't get the settings tab back.
