VMwareResolutionSet.exe with latest video driver from tools v11.0.1 crashes and display resize not possible

Hi,

looks like a bug.

Windows Server 2008 R2

Horizon 7.10

Latest Horizon Agent and Client

Latest VMware Tools V11.0.1

If i run the tool with latest video driver, the tool crashes. If i only downgrade the VMware SVGA driver, the tool is running and desktop resizing is possible.

On all servers and reproducible.

Open an SR if you haven't while I doubt its the case, 11.0.1 doesn't show up in the interoperability matrix, it's possible it's unsupported. Either way an SR could get you a patch for tools, or another workaround.

Same error with VMware Tools v11.0.0 (older .EXE, but the video drivers are the same).

Latest Tools v10.3.10 with video drivers from 03/2019 are ok. I think it is a bug in Tools v11.0.x

Tested on Windows Server 2019 with VMware tools 11.0.1 (video driver 8.16.7.0) and it works fine.
