I have VMware View Client
4.6.0 build-366101
host runs Windows 7 Enterprise 6.1.7600
I connect to a VM running Windwos. I connect from the Windows VM to
a Linux VM. I do what I need to do on the Linux vm. Then I iconify the VMware
View process. The next day, I bring back up VMware View. It says
"The desktop is closing." Only it never closes and it never exits. Below is what it
looks like. Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Any luck on this issue? I was logged in through RDP and I couldn't restart the box so I logged off and then restarted it from vsphere client connected to vcenter. Now I can't get back into the virtual machine. The console inside vsphere shows it restarted fine but the agent keeps saying "The desktop is closing."
Same problem.
"the desktop is cloosing" in vmware view.
any idea what's wrong?
I've encountered this issue as well and oddly enough its not the vDesktop that is 'closing'.
For me the view client was hanging and doesn't close/shutdown properly.
Shutdown your view client and then check in taskmanager under processes to see if 'wswc.exe' is still running. If so, end process on it then try to log back in to your vDesktop.
If this solves it for you reinstall your client.
