VMware client connect error

Hello All:

I've installed a trial version of VMware horizon view connection server. I am trying to connect to the server using VM ware horizon client. I am getting error "you are not entitled". Could anyone please let me know what is the problem?

Thank you,

Shwetha.

Well outside of not reading any documentation, there isn't a problem, everything is working. The error message means your user isn't entitled to any resources Horizon can provide, to access the administration page add /admin at the end and create a desktop pool for you to access.

Along the same lines as sjesse.  Check out this resource as a start 🙂 https://www.carlstalhood.com/vmware-horizon-7-virtual-desktop-pools/

Sorry for your assumption of not reading the documentation. I reached this community after following the instructions in the documentation.

I don't mean to be harsh, but read and reread all the documenation and look at the link I did and the one before. I've made the same mistakes reading real quick and then trying to implement too quickly can let you miss vital information.. I'd suggest the hands on labs as well before doing the any trials, they walk you step by step through different functionshttps://techzone.vmware.com/

So, you can entitle a user to the VM pool (I'm assuming you're working with VM's not apps), directly, or you can entitle an AD group that the user is a member of.

I'm also assuming you're not using Global Entitlements, just pools, since you are running a trial version.
