I am looking to install VMware View and use Windows 7 Ent or
Pro as the Guest OS.
What are the Microsoft Licensing options?
Is the use of a KMS server the best solution, or should I just
use a key in the Customization Specification as I did with Windows XP?
If you have a moderate to large deployment, I would suggest using a KMS server to validate licenses. If you input your MAK license and deploy several pools or the same pool over and over again; each time Windows will activate using a new MAK license until they are all used up.
I just went through a KMS server installation, and I have to it say was one of the easiest installs I have ever done.
