Does anyone know if it is possible - as I have been lead to believe but with no success - to use Tags within the View 5.1 environment to get reconnected to a disconnected desktop with all Brokers in the same instance but with different tags on the Pools and Connections Servers?
Pool A in Cluster 1 has tag TagPoolA and Pool B is Cluster 2 had tag TagPoolB
Connection Server 1 is restricted to TagPoolA and Connection Server 2 is restricted to TagPoolB.
All Users are entitled to both Pools.
I am using a common round robin DNS namespace to alternate between the two Connection Servers.
First time of logon, I connect to Connection Server 1 and log in no issues. If I now disconnect and log in again I am pointed to Connection Server 2 (by chance).
I was led to believe that because both Connection Servers are part of the same instance that they would know between them that I am already connected to a desktop and reconnect me back to my desktop instead of presenting me now with a new desktop in Pool B (because connected to Connection Server 2).
Any guidance on how this can be accomplished as I don't want to offer my Users the choice of Pools; neither do I want to go down the road of manually splitting the Pool entitlements and maintaining AD groups 50/50?
