Hi all.
I have something thats bugging us here with View Administrator Dashboard.
System is built and everything is working Perfectly. SSL is in place accross the enviroment.
IF Vcenter Service is restarted for any reason (reboot for patches for example) the View Administrator shows Vcenter in red.
Everything runs normally though, Refresh, Recompose new pools all work fine. VCenter starts tasks as soon as its up and running.
This Eventually turns green. Can be 10 mins can be a day but it does turn green. Long after Vcenter is activly doing tasks.
This a pain as its False reportign and can cause panic amongst the Desktop team. Most iportantly if there is a genuine error with Vcenter its not going to show up if its already in RED.
Restaring all the connection brokers at the same time can clear this but not very usefull if you have 24/7 operation with tunneled users.
Anyone got any similar issues? Anyone know whats causing it? and how do we stop it.
Estate is all View 5.1.1 with 5 Connection brokers, 2 Security Servers, Stand alone View Composer Server, Vshield, Trend DSM,
Vsphere is 5.1a with Vcenter Server, 2 SQL servers, Liquidware UX and FIT , Appsense and Update manager
Been through the following KB's with no success
KB1021805
KB2004056
KB2012292
Hi,
Check the permission of VC user account used in VMware view. Just for testing give administrator role in VC.
Regards
Mohammed
account is a dedicated domain service account thats got every possible Admin priveladges you can imagine
Local admin on all Windows servers in the enviroment.
Member of the SSO admins group
Member of Administrators in VCenter
Member of Administrators in View Manager
Even tried Domain admin.
All of that was done during implimentation.
All permissions are setup exactly the same as the outgoign 5.0 enviroment.
