Hi,
I have a single desktop in a persistent pool that will not recompose or refresh. I even tried going back to the previos snapshot with the 4.6 View Agent.
It fails rather quickly with the following error:
VMware.Sim.Fault.InvalidParentVmFault, InvalidSnapshotDiskConfiguration
I'm going to submit an SR to VMware as well; I just wanted to see if anyone had any quick ideas or if anyone has seen this particular error before.
Thanks!
Perhaps it's somehow tied to a replica that no longer exist. have you tried to simply archive the persistent disk and delete the clone?
There are 5+ other desktops using the same replica that this one was. I booted up the VM I used to create the snapshots and was unable to revert to the snapshots I used to create the pool(s). When I would attempt to revert to one of the snapshots I would receive an error that the "Snapshot was deleting or hasn't been fully created". I selected another snapshot and was able to revert to it, then I selected the snapshot that I had trouble reverting to previously, and it worked correctly. I was able to re-compose the problem desktop without issue after this.
I'm not sure exactly what happened; it was a "nested" snapshot. Everything is good now and thanks for the response.
Glad you got it working and thanks for updating the post.
