VMware Horizon Teams audio

So the issue one of our clients is having is that whenever they start a Teams call through their VMware desktop app on their M2 MacBook Pro they are getting a really bad echo. We wanted to see if anyone else had this issue, specifically on the M2 MacBook using the built in mic and speaker and how we can get it fixed, urgently.

Thank You

Phil

ONLY solution I have found that works is to purchase USB headsets or speaker phones like the Jabra Speak 510 that have built in hardware echo canceling. I have yet to get VMware's software based echo canceling to work on any device with any meeting software.

Is the issue reproducing in Windows Client Machine?

Is the issue reproducible on both Pcoip and Blast?

  1. Yes
  2. We don't use PCOIP but others have posted the same here with PCOIP.

Also even if Teams is in Optimized Mode... the echo still happens when using local laptop speaker and mic.
