Hi,
Can somebody tell me whether you need a valid license for FSLogix Profile Containers when using Windows Server 2016 as a single session virtual desktop in a VMware Horizon environment? The latest FSLogix agent doesn't need a valid license to install, but I can't find you're entitled to use it.
Best regards,
Dennis.
You are eligible to access FSLogix Profile Container, Office 365 Container, Application Masking, and Java Redirection tools if you have one of the following licenses:
FSLogix solutions may be used in any public or private data center, as long as a user is properly licensed. FSLogix tools operate on all operating systems newer than, and including:
You should ask Microsoft directly as that's not specified, anything here is just conjecture.
I am not a licensing expert, and my word is not official. However, I would consider having a valid Windows Server License you are entitled to one or two RDS CAL's which would allow users that consume that CAL to also consume FSlogix resources.
sjesse I hoped someone on this community had done exactly this before me.
Best regards,
Dennis.
mchadwick19 I'm not a license expert either, hence the question. I like your way of thinking, but I do know there are NO RDS CALs included with Windows Server (any server),
Best regards,
Dennis.
