VMware Horizon Client unrecoverable error: (host-#####)

Hi, I've had two users report a similar issue within the last few days and have received logs from one of them. I am hoping to see what these logs actually mean, whether its user side (laptop) or VDI issue.

They are using Dell laptops running Windows 10 Pro.

Current VMware Horizon Client software should be 8.3.0

Hi Syscomputer,

Please help to check:

  • From Client UI settings dialog, whether you have enabled "Allow H.264 Decoding" in "Configure VMware Blast"?
  • Whether the crash issue only happens on Blast Connection? How about PCoIP Connection?

Hi Felix,

Thanks for your reply.

  • From Client UI settings dialog, whether you have enabled "Allow H.264 Decoding" in "Configure VMware Blast"?

Yes, the users have "Allow H.264 Decoding" enabled.

  • Whether the crash issue only happens on Blast Connection? How about PCoIP Connection?

No, the user does not get this error through PCoIP.
