Hi Guys,

I'm trying to install the VMware Horizon Client on Ubuntu (12.04 LTS) 32bit and keep running into the following issue:

I've installed Synaptic and tried to install these missing packages and still run into issues. Has anybody actually got this this to work? Please chime in.

Could you please check for Ubuntu upgrade, and try View Client installation after upgrading to latest kernel packages ?

There were a few updates pending which I installed. Running the installer i get lots of errors on the console. See below:

root@ubuntu:/home/********/Downloads# ./VMware-Horizon-Client-3.2.0-2331566.x86.bundle

Extracting VMware Installer...done.

(vmware-installer.py:3789): Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "murrine",

Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module": libcanberra-gtk-module.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

The installer still fails though:

OK, it looks like, former warning need to be resolved by kernel update. It is failing because SSL/Crypto lib package versions are old (1.0.1)

Upgrade the kernel version, which will automatically fix these dependencies and having recommended versions of lib packages.

Please try it on test machine first.
