VMware Horizon 5.4.2 won't install Windows 10 x64 1909

Hi, I'm trying to install vmware Horizon client in order to work from home and I can't install it no matter what I do.

The Horizon Client installation tries to append an entry to the "hosts" file, which seems to be write protected.

CustomAction VM_AddViewLocalHostEntryToHostsFile returned actual error code 1603 (note this may not be 100% accurate if translation happened inside sandbox)

That could be caused by UAC (permission issue), or an A/V app which prevents modifications for this file.

You may need to temporarily disable A/V, or try to add the entry (I marked it in red) manually to the hosts file prior to running the Horizon Client setup.

Thank you! It was Eset even when I tried to suspend protection and firewall that wouldn't let me install. I had to stop a lot of protections in it in order to install the client. It works fine now!

Webroot also hates the Horizon client.

I deinstalled Webroot and was able to install Horizon 7, ver 5.5.4 onto my Windows 11.   tested and it worked.  I tried Horizon 8 version 2203 but it did not work.
