Guys

CVP -http://www.vmware.com/company/news/releases/cvp-intel-vmworld.html

Is there any more data on it, is it a Linux kernel, how will View work with it, hiow big is it, what OS's does it support, benchmarking/performance etc?

That is because they do not actually know anything other that the press release, CVP has not even entered first beta yet. until then it will be doing the rounds of some lab in Palo Alto. then even on 1st beta, the amount of people who get hold of it will be very limited indeed. the Press release is all the has been officially been released about the forthcoming product.

One quick question, will it only work on servers running the Intel VPro chips. . meaning its likely widespread use requires a hardware refresh as opposed to reusing whats already deployed?

yes, as far as pronounced only availible with Intel centrino 2 and core 2 processors with vPro Technology.

FYI; I was just this morning at an event of citrix regarding XenDesktop/XenApp... They're pronouncing their co-worked client hypervisor with intel will be availible Q2/Q3 2009...

Hope vmware will be faster once again...

Any more news about CVP? I have clients that are most interested to get rid of the local Windows and go more clean VDI.

Will it for example be able to run multiple VMs concurrently? Or only a single VM at a time? Run any locally placed VMDKs or must they be synced from a VDI solution? Hardware support for Bluetooth, IR and so on? Many many questions..
