Does anyone know how if the VMview client with local desktop will work on the Mac OS?

as of now it does not support local mode for MAC as of now. for future release you could check with your local rep.
As idle-jam has stated no local mode for Mac users. I just got a Macbook pro and honestly the only thing I miss is PCOIP. I can't wait until some of these features make it's way over to the Mac client.
