VMWare view client v3.1.2, enable the shade disabled and playing movies

Hi,

When I connect using the view client (v3.1.2) from a thin client (XPe SP2) I connect fine and login to the network. When I play a video using media player file the speed and audio are both fine and work well. I changed the view_client.adm GPO setting - enable the shade - disabled so students would not minimize the display and see the XPe desktop (I will hide the shell once I have got past this problem using a guide within this forum and if the client is minimized it disappears and the student would lose their work). Now with the shade disabled, I login and go to play a movie file and media player starts to load and then the view client just closes and reveals the XPe desktop. If I then enable the shade everything works fine and the video plays.

Does anybody know how to stop this from happening?

Since you are using XPe2 make sure you have updated Remote Desktop (RDP) to latest version 6.x

Hi, I have the latest RDP on. The movies/videos play fine until I disable the shade, then the client closes when I try and play a video.
