VMWare view Disconnects - Dual Monitor PCoIP

Hi,

We have a problem in our environment where we are running 2x dual monitors 1920x1080 displays for Win 7 x64 VMs connecting from Win7/8 Thin clients with VMWare View Clients 3.2 32bit and running VMWare View 5.3

We are finding we get random disconnects of the sessions and the logs on the clients show that the session has dropped and it is re configuring the displays, any ideas?

Hi,

We too had similar kind of issues, where dual monitor machines are getting disconnected. The issues which we identified are below:

1. Check the Paging file settings whether it is as per Microsoft standard. 1xRAM or 1.5xRAM.

2. Issues is with the Thin Client, where for every 8 hours it is contacting the Management server and the thin client is resetting the image which is causing the VDI sessions to get disconnect. we have disable the autoupdate on the Thin clients post that issues got resolved. We are using HP Thin clients with Zero image,

Also make sure that Displays setting (i.e., Video card settings in the VM) are configured on the parent image. In my case, i have chossen Number of Displays:4 & Total Video Memory:128 MB on the parent image.
