VMWare replacement for Remote Desktop Services

Hi

Does anybody know if it is possible, and what products are needed to get a VMWare ESXi windows 2008 to work like a remote desktop service?

ThinApp og View client? What is needed on the server?

I would liek to replace TS with 100% VMware solution...

Is it possible?

You can use VMware View as long as you use Windows 2003/2008 Terminal Server.
Anyway, you can use VMware View with Terminal Services.

Hi Pcerda

Thanks for you answer.

* But how does the licensing work. Do i need TS licenses and VMWare View licenses

* What VMWare view products / licenses should be bought / uses. Both service wise and CAL wise?

Thanks.

You gonna need licenses for VMware View and TS.
I think you can do it with VMware View Enterprise licenses.
Check out this link about Microsoft Licensing:

Ok. so I will still need TS CALs along side the "VMware View Enterprise license". Then i might as well just use the TS RDP...

I was hoping for VMWare replacement of TS / TS CALs...

That's right, you can use just TS RDP.
