VMWare Horizon locks up when connecting to server

VMWare Horizon Client Version 2306 (reinstalled multiple times) with no changes to default settings locks up when attempting to connect to server on my Desktop Win-10 machine.

It works fine on same home network using a Win-11 laptop and also works on same network using iPad when connecting to the exact same server.

I am forced to kill the application with task manager.

The lockup happens with the progress bar barely making any progress.

This is not critical since I have multiple ways to get access to the server, but I would like to understand what is unique with my Desktop that is causing this problem.

Hi,

Try to look system and applications logs on your Windows machine in this time. Maybe another application is blocking VMware Horizon Client. Also you can turn off Windows (or another) firewall for experiment.

As well, you can use third party tools for investigating the problem, like network traffic capturing tools.
